Key Responsibilities
  • Originating Loans: Engage with customers and real estate professionals to originate mortgage loans, HELOCs, and consumer applications.
  • Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries regarding loan products and applications, providing timely and accurate information.
  • Compliance: Stay up-to-date on government regulations and bank policies, ensuring compliance with all lending requirements.
  • Underwriting: Make underwriting decisions on loans within your lending authority, referring exceptions to senior management as needed.
  • Vendor Management: Effectively manage service providers and vendors, setting expectations, developing performance metrics, and holding them accountable.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Loan Officer Originator, with a strong background in mortgage lending and customer service.
  • Certifications: NMLS certification is required.
  • Education: High School Diploma is required, with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications preferred.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Environment: The Loan Officer Originator will work in a fast-paced banking environment, with regular travel to customer sites and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
