Key Responsibilities of the Host/Hostess:

  • Serve as the initial point of contact for guests, embodying the restaurant's values.
  • Oversee the reservation system and efficiently manage walk-in guests.
  • Balance guest satisfaction with restaurant operational needs.
  • Ensure prompt and courteous service at all times.
  • Guide guests regarding the storage of coats and personal items.
  • Direct guests to appropriate waiting areas until their table is ready.
  • Allocate tables based on group size and requirements.
  • Escort guests to their designated seating.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal and guest relations skills.
  • Strong communication abilities and multitasking capability.
  • Capacity to maintain composure and organization in a fast-paced setting.
  • Enthusiasm for building a client database and nurturing relationships.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry items up to 35 lbs, navigate stairs, and maintain mobility for extended periods.

  • Must have flexible availability, particularly for evening shifts from Friday to Sunday.
