Job Summary:

Crane Aerospace & Electronics is seeking an Electronics Assembler to perform basic and routine electronic or hybrid assembly operations on components, printed circuit boards, or subassemblies in accordance with military and/or other assembly standards using blueprints, visual aids, wiring lists, verbal and/or written instructions.

The Electronics Assembler will be responsible for skilled soldering of circuit cards, touch up, jumper wires, through hole, and mag wire with use of microscope. Additionally, the Assembler will execute hand assembly of cable assemblies, pin interface into connectors, masking/de-masking, crimping, stripping, riveting, touch up paint & chemical conversion, bonding and mixing chemical.

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment and possess strong verbal and written communication skills. The candidate should also have basic computer skills and be able to thoroughly interpret production or engineering prints, production planning information and assembly aids such as illustrations and wiring diagrams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform skilled soldering of circuit cards, touch up, jumper wires, through hole, and mag wire with use of microscope.
  • Execute hand assembly of cable assemblies, pin interface into connectors, masking/de-masking, crimping, stripping, riveting, touch up paint & chemical conversion, bonding and mixing chemical.
  • Use hand tools including but not limited to, soldering irons, solder suckers, torque wrenches, manual hand tools, power tools along with automated machine operation.
  • Visually check completed work against drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Recognize and assure correct values of electronic components: index and position mechanical components per drawing and specifications.
  • Cross-train to work on at least 2 products.
  • Practice safe work habits as established by OSHA and Crane policy.
  • Satisfactorily complete job-related company training courses.
  • Support Crane Business System (CBS) initiatives including 5S, KPI's, Standard Work, Problem Solving, and other initiatives as they arise.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to thoroughly interpret production or engineering prints, production planning information and assembly aids such as illustrations and wiring diagrams.
