Pediatric Healthcare Support Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to support our pediatrician and staff in delivering high-quality healthcare to children. This position involves both clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a seamless patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for examination by taking and recording vital signs and medical history.
Assist physicians during patient examinations and procedures.
Administer immunizations and other medications as directed by the physician.
Perform basic lab tests and prepare specimens for outside labs as needed.
Maintain accurate and organized patient records in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for patient visits.
Schedule appointments and follow-up visits efficiently.
Provide patient education on health maintenance and disease prevention.
Handle healthcare-related inquiries, billing, and insurance verification.
Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program is preferred.
Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is a plus.
Previous experience in a pediatric or family practice setting is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially with children and families.
Proficiency in EHR systems and basic computer skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
CPR certification is required (or willingness to obtain).
