Job Summary

This role is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and supporting the sales team in a fast-paced retail environment. As a Team Member, you will be the face of Tractor Supply Company, providing legendary service to our customers and ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Support sales initiatives by engaging with customers, recommending products, and promoting services.
  • Operate cash registers, process transactions, and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in visual merchandising, including setting up and maintaining displays, and ensuring a visually appealing store environment.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving and stocking merchandise, and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
  • Perform janitorial duties, including cleaning and maintaining the store, and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Assist with freight processing, including receiving and stocking merchandise, and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
  • Participate in mandatory training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • No prior experience required, but a willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn new software applications.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
Working Conditions

Working environment is favorable, generally working inside with moderate noise. Indoor floors and outdoor lots are hard surfaces, lighting and temperature are adequate. Work shifts vary from one store to another, but generally are no less than 4 hours and may exceed 8 hours.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to move and transfer merchandise, weighing up to 50 pounds, throughout the store.
  • Ability to push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with the assistance of proper material handling equipment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or reach merchandise overhead.
  • Ability to frequently stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
  • Ability to move throughout the store for an entire shift.
  • Ability to safely access all areas of the store, including the selling floor, side lot, stock area, and register area.
