Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and Troubleshoot Issues: Diagnose problems involving wind turbine generators or control systems, and identify root causes of malfunctions.
- Climb and Inspect Turbines: Climb wind turbine towers to inspect, maintain, or repair equipment, ensuring safe and efficient access to work areas.
- Test and Repair Electrical Components: Test electrical components of wind systems using devices such as voltage testers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, infrared testers, or fiber optic equipment, and repair or replace faulty components as needed.
- Perform Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on wind turbine equipment, underground transmission systems, wind fields substations, or fiber optic sensing and control systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Collect and Analyze Data: Collect turbine data for testing or research and analysis, and provide insights to improve maintenance and repair processes.
- Train and Mentor Colleagues: Train end-users, distributors, installers, or other technicians in wind commissioning, testing, or other technical procedures, and mentor colleagues to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
- Education and Certifications: High School Diploma / GED, GWO BST, ART certificate (preferred), Winergy, Nanjing, ZF Gearbox Experience desired.
- Work Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in wind turbine maintenance, repair, or related field.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to work at heights, and proficiency in electrical and mechanical systems.
- Travel Requirements: 100% travel required, with frequent overnight stays and extended periods away from home.
