Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Unit Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in facilitating the provision of patient care by performing specific tasks and support functions delegated by registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the provision of patient care by performing specific tasks and support functions as delegated by registered nurses and licensed practical nurses.
  • Communicate effectively with medical staff, visitors, patients, and all levels of hospital personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training programs to enhance knowledge and skills.

Requirements

  • A minimum of six months to one year of clerical experience.
  • Fundamental knowledge of electronic medical record systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) provider certification.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the ages of patients served.
  • Previous work experience with medical terminology or completion of medical terminology course preferred.

Salary Range

$45,000 - $55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
