We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Financial Services Coordinator I to join our team at Healthier Mississippi People. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient financial service functions such as scanning, filing, receiving and reviewing correspondence, reviewing third-party and patient billing, and resolving billing questions.
  • Review and resolve billing questions in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collaborate with management and co-workers to ensure seamless communication and workflow.
  • Prepare and submit clean claims to insurance companies in an accurate, timely, and compliant manner.
  • Work assigned reports, work-lists, and patient accounts to ensure accurate and timely processing.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • One (1) or more years of related revenue cycle experience.
  • Computer literate and ability to type, file, and maintain records.
  • Basic knowledge of ICD-10/HCPCS/CPT coding.
  • Basic knowledge of third-party insurance and government insurance plans.
Working Environment

This role requires occasional exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environments, such as high noise levels and exposure to heat and cold. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
