YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Safely and efficiently load, unload, and transport fiberglass pools and related materials from the distribution center to various destinations.
  • Ensure all loads are securely fastened.
  • Adhere to state-approved routes and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Follow the delivery schedule and take appropriate rest breaks.
  • Report any significant maintenance or delivery challenges to management.
  • Maintain accurate driving and delivery logs.
  • Utilize an Electronic Log System to track and report working hours.
  • Comply with company policies and regulations.
  • Observe all traffic laws and adjust driving according to weather and road conditions.
  • Follow DOT regulations diligently.
  • Prioritize safety at all times.
  • Obtain signatures or receipts for delivered goods and collect payments when necessary.
  • Report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damages.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
  • Possession of a valid Class A CDL Driver's License.
  • Previous experience with oversize loads is preferred.
  • Ability to learn basic repair techniques.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Capability to collaborate with pilot drivers for oversize load transport.
  • Good knowledge of local and regional roadways.
  • Ability to interpret customer orders and adhere to safety protocols.
  • Must be able to regularly sit, walk, stand, talk, or hear, both in person and by phone, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel, including some overnight stays. Typically, weekends and holidays are off.
