YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Safely and efficiently load, unload, and deliver fiberglass pools and related materials from the distribution center to various sites.
  • Ensure loads are securely fastened.
  • Adhere to state-approved routes and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Follow delivery schedules and take breaks as necessary.
  • Report any significant maintenance or delivery challenges to management.
  • Maintain accurate driving and delivery logs.
  • Track and report working hours using an Electronic Log System.
  • Comply with company policies and regulations.
  • Observe all traffic laws and adjust driving according to weather and road conditions.
  • Follow DOT regulations diligently.
  • Prioritize safety at all times.
  • Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payments when required.
  • Report any vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damages.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
  • A valid Class A CDL Driver's License is required.
  • Previous experience with oversize loads is preferred.
  • Ability to learn basic repair techniques.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to collaborate with pilot drivers for oversize load transport.
  • Good knowledge of roadways.
  • Ability to interpret customer orders and adhere to safety regulations.
  • Must be capable of regularly sitting, walking, and standing; communicating effectively in person and by phone, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Willingness to travel, including some overnight stays, with weekends and holidays typically off.
