Job Title: Contract Supervisor

VetPride Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Contract Supervisor to join our team in support of valet operations in Chicago. As a Contract Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our valet services, providing exceptional customer experiences, and maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of 6-8 valet attendants, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and efficient operations.
  • Schedule valet team members to meet contracted hours on a weekly basis, ensuring adequate coverage and minimizing overtime.
  • Uphold high standards of employee conduct and performance, addressing any issues promptly and fairly.
  • Assist in hiring, firing, and disciplinary actions, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with the Regional Manager to achieve operational goals and objectives.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers in a professional manner, assisting with wheelchairs or walkers, and offering directions as needed.
  • Perform access control responsibilities for the valet area, ensuring secure and efficient operations.
  • Drive various types of vehicles safely and efficiently, inspecting vehicles for damage and recording findings on valet tickets.
  • Secure vehicles by locking cars and returning valet key tags and keys to the podium box.
  • Adhere to safe driving procedures and safety protocols at all times.
  • Comply with all rules and regulations set by the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
  • Report to work in company-issued uniform, maintaining professional personal hygiene and appearance at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Valet experience preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum 1+ years of management experience, with a proven track record of success.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license, with the ability to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and maintain a clean motor vehicle record.
  • Regularly work outdoors in inclement weather, including rain, snow, heat, and cold.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to respond calmly and professionally in conflict situations.
  • Consistent attendance and reliability are essential.
  • Ability to understand and speak basic English to communicate with customers and colleagues.
  • Regularly stand for long periods (6-8 hours) and walk quickly.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Basic technical skills and computer literacy are required.
  • Ability to work independently and within established guidelines, following directions and working well with others.
Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum 1-year management experience.
  • 1-year experience driving manual and automatic transmissions.
  • Valet experience preferred, but not required.
