We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced ECMO Specialist to join our dynamic team at Tampa General Hospital. As an ECMO Specialist, you will play a critical role in the daily operation of our ECMO program, working closely with our medical team to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and troubleshoot the ECMO circuit and related equipment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Administer blood products and medications as needed, in accordance with established protocols.
  • Collaborate with bedside nurses to maintain proper patient care and assist in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest ECMO technologies and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a strong background in critical care.
  • Licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a professional nurse, with 2 years in critical care or emergency department.
  • At least 1 year of experience as an ECMO competent professional nurse.
  • BLS and ACLS certification required upon hire.
  • PALS certification required for nurses caring for pediatric population.
  • National certification in critical care preferred.
  • Adult Certified ECMO Specialist (CES-A) or ELSO Adult ECMO Practitioner Certification (E-AEC) required within 2 years of hire.
