Key Responsibilities: The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Perioperative Services department, including the management of surgical schedules, staff assignments, and patient flow.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and reports, including surgical statistics, patient outcomes, and staff performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including nursing, anesthesia, and surgical services, to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Develop and implement educational programs to enhance staff knowledge and skills, and to promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including the development and implementation of quality improvement projects and the analysis of data to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a perioperative services leadership role, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of experienced professionals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, physicians, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards, including The Joint Commission and OSHA.
