Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Additive 3D Technician to join our team at RGBSI. As a key member of our additive manufacturing team, you will be responsible for operating additive manufacturing equipment, post-processing parts, and maintaining workshop machinery and laboratory equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Operation: Operate additive manufacturing equipment, including related software pre-processing steps, to produce high-quality parts.
  • Post-Processing: Post-process additive manufacturing parts, including gluing, sanding, cleaning, and/or modifying plastic parts, to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintenance: Maintain and service workshop machinery and laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and control stock levels in the laboratory to ensure efficient production.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in the rapid prototyping industry is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills, including handling problem situations with customers.
  • Technical Skills: Computer skills, attention to detail, organized, with critical-thinking skills. Experience working in 3D CAD, particularly CATIA and preferably Magics or other AM software.
  • Part Finishing: Basic understanding of all part finishing techniques and ability to complete tasks with moderate supervision in a timely manner.
  • Math Skills: Basic math skills, familiar with the metric system.
  • Communication and Phone Skills: Excellent communication and phone skills.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency with Windows and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Maintenance: Perform lower level periodic maintenance on all RP equipment. Calibration and maintenance of workshop and laboratory equipment.
  • Hands-on Experience: Hands-on use of in-house rapid prototyping systems.
