Position Title: Advanced Mitigation Specialist

Compensation Range: $21.85 - $31.68

Position Summary:

The Advanced Mitigation Specialist is responsible for guiding a team of technicians through all stages of restoration and environmental projects, from inception to completion. This role reports directly to the Supervisor and may work in conjunction with the Project Manager and/or Branch Manager. Collaboration with various departments within the organization is essential.

Primary Responsibilities:

The core duties of this position include:

  • Maintaining ongoing communication with key stakeholders such as the Branch Manager, Operations Manager, Project Manager, Supervisor, and Project Coordinator to discuss project timelines, scope modifications, materials, and personnel resources to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Directing team members in tasks necessary for expediting job completion, including material procurement, managing client contents, and executing repairs to the highest standards while adhering to industry regulations.
  • Leading a team of three or more technicians, providing guidance and direction based on established job criteria.
  • Overseeing multiple job types throughout the day, ranging from simple tasks to complex projects and large losses.
  • Ensuring the team delivers exceptional customer service and recommending adjustments based on experiences to benefit both the client and the organization.
  • Maintaining the company-assigned vehicle and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Completing and submitting crew sheets and job notes at the end of each workday.
  • Serving as a role model by adhering to and enforcing company policies and safety protocols during service delivery.
  • Assisting in the development of technicians through mentoring, coaching, and providing constructive feedback to enhance skill sets.
  • Participating in job site safety briefings and delivering training within the scope of expertise.
  • Possibly acting as the Site Safety Representative, applying knowledge of industry standards and safety training to enforce safety protocols.
  • Timely and accurately completing timecards and ensuring crew members do the same.
  • Submitting completed work orders, including measurements, moisture readings, and necessary documentation for billing purposes.
  • Maintaining technical skills through regular training provided by the company.
  • Continuing to build knowledge of company services, operations, and best practices to support personal professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of experience in a lead technician role within the construction or restoration/mitigation fields, or equivalent experience as a Lead Technician I.
  • A valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (Class C).
  • Must be insurable.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
  • Able to pass a Respirator Physical and obtain a respiratory fit exam.
  • Preferred industry certifications, with the ability to pass medical exams if required for certification.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Comfortable using software and applications for accessing and submitting documents, forms, and reports through approved company methods.
  • Ability to effectively teach and contribute to the development of technicians through demonstration and encouragement.
  • A strong understanding of safety guidelines and their application in daily tasks.
  • Successfully completed Site Safety Representative training.
  • Thorough knowledge of company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and adherence to guidelines, sharing knowledge with the team through practical application.
  • Expertise in the use of hand tools, power tools, and other equipment necessary for job completion.
  • A focus on continuous growth and development, actively seeking feedback and applying learned lessons to assist others.
  • Ability to interpret basic to complex instructions, plans, and guidelines (e.g., Material Data Sheets, schematics, drawings).

Working Environment:

The working conditions for this position may include:

  • Construction job sites, which may be unfinished, new, or damaged.
  • Repetitive left/right hand motions (use of hand and power tools).
  • Physical agility, including bending, squatting, crawling, climbing stairs and ladders, twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead.
  • The ability to frequently lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
  • Working in confined spaces.
  • Exposure to unsanitary conditions on a regular basis.
  • Required overtime for scheduled work, with after-hours and weekend options available.
