Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Power Platform Developer to join our team at CAPPS, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing low-code solutions using the Microsoft Power Platform suite of tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop diagrams and flows to represent business processes for final application development.
  • Assist in development of user stories which represent the business processes being developed into Power Platform applications.
  • Code, test, and debug Power Platform applications as outlined by user stories.
  • Use current Agile software design and development methodologies and techniques to ensure quality and supportability of applications.
  • Create technical documentation for applications.
  • Analyze, review, and revise code to increase operating efficiency or to adapt to new procedures and available technologies.
  • Assist in developing standards, best practices, and procedures for development and support staff.
  • Use of good communication skills to build strong relationships with business area partners.
  • Develop user guides for the operation of delivered applications.
  • Maintain required certifications and licenses and meet the continuing education needs and requirements of the position.
  • Attend work regularly and observe approved work hours in accordance with agency leave and attendance policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Education - Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience - Minimum of two (2) years of experience developing low-code solutions using Power Platform and integrating those solutions with SharePoint technologies, working in a team environment, and working directly with business customers is required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with SharePoint technologies is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Microsoft Power Platform Functional Consultant, Developer, or Solution Architect is preferred.
  • Regulatory knowledge - Working knowledge of, or the ability to rapidly assimilate information related to TXDPS, State and Federal regulations, legislation, guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Technology - Proficiency with Microsoft Office and appropriate levels of proficiency with utilized software and systems (e.g. CAPPS, SharePoint, Power Platform) and be able to learn new software/systems.
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dataverse.
  • Skills in the development of Power Platform applications.
  • Skills in building user-friendly front-end UI forms.

Benefits:

A DPS employee who is selected for a position in the same salary group and state title as their current position will be transferred with no salary change.

A DPS employee who is selected for a position in their current salary group with a new state title may receive an increase of no more than 3.4% over their current salary regardless of posted salary.

Salary is contingent upon qualifications and is subject to salary administration and budgetary restrictions.
