Role of the Area Operations Manager
As the Area Operations Manager for Living Options & Services, you will oversee a team of Direct Support Professionals across multiple living environments. Your leadership will focus on providing exceptional support, mentorship, and fostering a culture of accountability within your team.
The Direct Support Professionals under your guidance play a crucial role in ensuring that each individual served is empowered to lead the life they desire.
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Director of Living Options & Services and collaborates with key stakeholders to implement individualized planning activities. Active participation in training sessions, meetings, and communication is essential.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and the ability to build collaborative teams, providing ongoing feedback through The Arc's coaching framework.
Compliance with DDA standards, budget management, and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement are essential components of this role.
Qualifications
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, along with a minimum of five years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including at least three years in a supervisory capacity.
