Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Education Mentor Coach to join our team at Capital Area Community Services Inc. Head Start. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting education staff in implementing effective teaching practices that lead to positive outcomes for children.

Key Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with the Professional Development Manager and team to provide operational data, share observations and concerns, and evaluate the progress of the coaching program.

* Implement Practice Based Coaching, a research-based coaching strategy, to support education staff in achieving program performance goals.

* Assess education staff to identify strengths, areas of needed support, and determine which staff would benefit most from coaching.

* Provide coaching opportunities to education staff, including goal setting, observation, feedback, and modeling of effective teacher practices.

* Align coaching strategies with program performance goals, school readiness objectives, and curricula.

* Communicate effectively with the coach, professional development manager, and other relevant staff to ensure a collaborative approach.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or related field.

* Two to five years of related experience in classroom or home-based teaching, with supervisory experience in Early Childhood preferred.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work collaboratively with education staff and other stakeholders.
