Swim Coach

Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a talented and experienced swim instructor to join our team at Lake Orion High School. As a member of our aquatic staff, you will work directly with the Aquatic Director to provide exceptional swimming lessons and maintain a state-of-the-art aquatic facility for the Lake Orion Community.

Responsibilities:

• Arrive on time for scheduled staff meetings and classes
• Report on scheduled swim lesson days 15 minutes prior to the start of class
• Place/organize all equipment away in storage room
• File all paperwork in mailboxes
• Enforce pool rules
• Wear appropriate attire when teaching
• Make arrangements for a substitute if there is a conflict with your schedule

Requirements:

• Must be at least 16 years of age or older
• Water Safety Instructor (W.S.I.) preferred but not required
• Lifeguard & CPR for the Professional Rescuer preferred but not required
• Has 2 years' experience instructing preferred
• Communication skills are good
• Works well with children, staff, and patrons
• Enthusiastic about swimming and teaching
• Positive outlook
