Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Operations Manager to join our team at Sunbolt Recruiting Group, LLC. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing all plant operations, ensuring production goals are met, and driving continuous improvement through various initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plant Operations Management: Direct and coordinate overall plant operations within company policies and procedures.
  • Production Goal Achievement: Ensure production goals are met on a consistent basis by tracking output and efficiencies using key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement through 5S, Six Sigma, and Lean manufacturing programs.
  • Product Specifications: Oversee specifications of product manufactured/assembled.
  • Safety Program Management: Oversee and continually improve our safety program to ensure a safe environment for team members.
  • Materials Management: Manage materials and supplies to ensure production and operational metrics can be met.
  • Inventory Control: Oversee all incoming and outgoing activities and ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
  • Interdepartmental Coordination: Work cross-functionally to ensure coordination of purchasing, shipping, receiving, and other departments as needed.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, Tier II, Fire, etc. and regulatory requirements.
  • Team Management
  • Employee Performance Management: Conduct employee performance reviews.
  • Communication: Schedule and conduct plant meetings.
  • Quality Assurance: Responsible for producing high-quality product the first time and at the source.
  • Training and Development: Foster a well-trained and motivated staff.
  • Knowledge Management: Remain knowledgeable of required personnel-related guidelines, policies, and procedures of the company and take action necessary to ensure adherence.
  • Policy Administration: Ensure fairly and equitable administration of all company policies and guidelines.
  • Communication and Training: Schedule and conduct daily and weekly standup/toolbox talks.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree; Associates Degree with combination of industry experience will also be considered.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of significant manufacturing experience, including progressive management and supervisory responsibility.
  • Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge in pump systems, fabricating processes, welding, 12V electrical systems, vehicle upfitting, and/or heavy truck related manufacturing.
  • Certifications: Certification or training in Lean Six Sigma; Green Belt or higher strongly preferred.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated experience and success in leading and growing teams.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Advanced interpersonal and management skills.
  • Communication Skills: Superior oral and written communication skills.
