Senior Energy Systems Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Mech Engg (Energy) professional to join our team in Richland, WA. As a member of our design team, you will be responsible for performing engineering calculations, generating drawings and specifications, and providing technical expertise to support the development and implementation of engineering analysis and design solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. We offer a competitive salary range of $97,000 - $161,000 annually, depending on skills, experience and location.
Responsibilities- Perform a variety of engineering calculations using traditional engineering methods to document compliance with project and code requirements.
- Generate and review drawings, specifications and data sheets to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in the preparation and approval of design documents and plant modifications.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs.
- Familiarize yourself with national codes and standards appropriate to the Mechanical Engineering discipline.
- Ensure relevant design criteria, specifications, practices, procedures and codes and site design and safety and licensing basis are used in preparation of design media.
- Interface with staff, within the team and supporting sub-contractors to ensure work is completed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Work in multi-discipline teams on project-based work and ensure integration of design across multiple disciplines.
- Perform checking to ensure accuracy of design media in accordance with company policies and procedures and client expectations.
- Work to assigned schedules ensuring the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of work and initiate corrective measures to overcome delays.
- Understand, comply and be responsible for working to environmental health and safety policies and procedures and attend meetings as required.
- Support installation and testing of site systems and components.
- Participate in the preparation of cost estimates for engineering services to internal and external clients and coordinate work assignments to meet project-established schedules and budgets.
