About the Role

Gannett Fleming's Power business is expanding, creating significant professional opportunities for experienced transmission line engineers. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in our continued growth and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design transmission line segments using PLS-CADD or other structural design software packages.
  • Prepare design criteria documents and construction specifications.
  • Estimate costs, resources, labor, and materials needed for projects and establish completion dates/deadlines.
  • Write, modify, and review specifications based on NESC, IEEE, and NEC requirements and utility-based best practices.
  • Prepare feasibility studies, routing studies, EMF calculations, and oversee project implementation.
  • Lead or assist with proposal preparation and other business development activities.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced engineers and technicians.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Structural Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • At least 7 years of experience in transmission line design.
  • Detailed knowledge of NESC, IEEE, and other applicable codes/standards related to transmission line design.
  • High level of proficiency with PLS-CADD.
  • Electrical utility or utility consulting experience is strongly preferred.
