About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Nursing Educator to join our team at Children's Health in Dallas, Texas. As a key member of our education department, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing educational programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our clinical staff.

With a strong background in nursing and education, you will design, implement, and evaluate educational activities and programs based on identified practice gaps for a specific target audience. Your expertise in adult learning principles and instructional design will enable you to create engaging and effective learning experiences that meet the needs of our diverse staff members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, coordinate, manage, facilitate, conduct, and evaluate onboarding and orientation programs for clinical personnel, including transition-to-practice programs for novice or new graduate clinicians.
  • Create, implement, and evaluate initial and ongoing competency programs for clinical personnel.
  • Design and deliver educational activities and programs that address identified practice gaps and promote lifelong learning among clinical staff.
  • Cultivate collaborative partnerships with other departments and institutions to advance education and learning initiatives.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 3 years of related clinical and/or nursing experience.
  • Documentation of previous teaching experience is preferred.
  • A four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required; a graduate or professional work or advanced degree is preferred.
  • State or national licensure/certification for clinical professional practice is required; Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification is also required.
Salary Information:

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $80,000 and $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
