Job Summary:
The Cardiac Monitoring Technician I operates within our monitoring or pacemaker division, executing a variety of cardiology-related responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  • Utilizing various cardiac monitoring devices
  • Providing technical guidance to patients and/or families regarding device functionality, troubleshooting, and operation of holter monitors, event monitors, mobile cardiac telemetry, and 24-hour blood pressure monitors.
  • Cleaning and maintaining monitors
  • Keeping a record of monitors and/or logging monitor data in a database on SharePoint.
  • Demonstrating the capability to generate diagnostic information for physician analysis.
  • Scanning holter monitors.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks in the Cardiac Device Clinic.
  • Scheduling appointments within the electronic medical record system.
  • Striving to meet customer expectations.
  • Completing required departmental training, including a basic EKG course.
  • Independently performing EKGs.
  • Collaborating effectively with all team members.
  • Executing all other assigned duties.
Additional Requirements:

Required:
Education - High School Diploma/GED Equivalent in General Studies

Preferred:
Experience - 1+ years of EKG/EEG/ECG Experience
Education - Associate's degree in a Related Field

Physical Requirements:
Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
