**Job Summary**

This position is responsible for supervising subordinates and providing direct nursing care services at our Long Term Care unit Meadows. The incumbent will be responsible for on-going training, identifying and analyzing problems, and providing direct fundamental basic care that may include bathing, bathroom assistance, maintaining a clean-living area, and administering medication.

**Requirements**

The ideal candidate will have experience working with treatment teams, experience working in a hospital setting, and experience working as a Certified Nurse's Assistant. A High School Diploma and two (2) years of experience as it pertains to the essential duties of the classification are required. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling two (2) years may substitute for the required experience.

**Working Conditions**

This position will perform work in a hospital and office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT) and extensive personal computer and phone usage. Exposure to mentally and behaviorally challenged residents who may exhibit unpredictable and sometimes violent behaviors in volatile situations is required. Effective 01/01/2015, New Mexico Behavioral Health Institute became a 100% Tobacco Free/E-Cigarette Free Campus. As such, no tobacco, tobacco products, or E-cigarette products are permitted on any part of the campus. Department is Meadows. Work hours are PRN.

**Estimated Salary Range**

$39,474 - $63,159 Annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
