Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Multi-Modality Technologist to join our team at VCU Tappahannock Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing routine and complex imaging exams in assigned modalities, ensuring safe and patient-centered care.
Responsibilities- Perform imaging exams in assigned modalities, adhering to department protocols and institutional safety standards.
- Provide safe and patient-centered care, addressing the physical and emotional needs of patients of all age groups.
- Maintain annual competencies in assigned modalities and stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies.
- Collaborate with licensed independent practitioners to complete radiologic imaging exams.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, health system policies, and department procedures.
- Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB).
- At least one of the following specialty certifications: MRI, CT, PET, ARDMS, or CCI.
- One year of previous Technologist work experience, with three to five years of experience in each assigned modality preferred.
- Graduation from a JRC Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology or Sonography, or a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Radiations Science, Radiologic Technology, Sonography, or Vascular Sonography.
