About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at VCU Tappahannock Hospital. As a satellite facility of VCU Health, we uphold the same standards of excellence, affordability, and community impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Administer ionizing radiation to patients of all ages, ensuring safety and adherence to protocols.
  • Assess patient risk for allergic reactions to contrast media and other related medications.
  • Document deviations from protocol and patient-specific issues that may impact image quality.
  • Notify healthcare providers of immediate clinical responses necessary based on procedural findings or patient condition.
Requirements
  • Certification by the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Successful completion of a 6-month orientation program.
  • At least one year of experience in radiologic technology (optional).
