Job Summary:

The Electrical Field Service Specialist will provide diversified knowledge of the power electronics industry to complete start-up, testing, troubleshooting, operations and maintenance work of UPS and related critical power equipment. The ideal candidate will be home based and dispatched to customer sites as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for commissioning, maintaining and providing emergency support on power electronics at customers' sites within the regional coverage area
  • Performs commissioning-focused design reviews, prepares commissioning test procedures and reports, coordinates and oversees on-site testing
  • Involved in preventive maintenance, emergency response, equipment start-up and/or field modifications
  • Attends periodic training at the company's headquarters on various OEM units and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Troubleshoots issues with the technical-support group related to maintenance or operation of equipment

Requirements:

  • Preferably 3-5+ years experience in the critical power industry and ability to troubleshoot down to component level on equipment such as UPS, batteries, PDU's, STS, etc.
  • Utilizes hand tools and test equipment to perform work
  • Requires excellent verbal, written communication skills & customer relation skills
  • Must be able to provide high level of quality customer service
  • Must be able to complete Field Service Reports in a timely manner

Benefits:

  • $65,000 - $85,000 per year
  • Reimbursements: Mileage reimbursement, car allowance, and cell phone allowance provided. Tools provided by company. Any overnight travel is reimbursed.
