About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensing and Compliance Specialist to join our team at Alera Group. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Process new licenses, renewal licenses, change of address, name changes, affiliations, and track flood credits for agents and agencies.
  • Assist with TPA licensing and complete agency profiles in the licensing database.
  • Support multiple state surplus filings and assist with reconciliations for tax purposes.
  • Complete carrier appointment paperwork and work with agents regarding appointments and licensing issues.
  • Assist in resolving licensing issues as needed and complete projects assigned by the Compliance Manager.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new information and apply knowledge learned.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to state messages in a clear and concise manner.
  • High level of self-motivation and ability to accomplish goals and meet deadlines independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize various assigned tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet goals, deadlines, and department standards for quality and productivity.
  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude with a high degree of accuracy required.
