Job Summary:
The Receptionist is a key member of our team, providing exceptional client service and creating a positive first impression for our clients and their pets.
This role requires a friendly and professional demeanor, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask, handle payment and financial issues, and provide knowledgeable advice on animal care and wellness.
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and pets by name with a smile and a positive attitude.
- Answer phones promptly and professionally, providing knowledgeable advice on animal care and wellness.
- Schedule appointments and surgeries, making confirmation calls as needed.
- Enter accurate charges, explain invoices, and collect payment.
- Verify client eligibility for charge accounts and check medical records for accuracy.
- Fill prescriptions, provide routine administration instructions, and advise clients on retail items.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated commitment to our core values.
- Computer knowledge, including keyboarding and use of communication tools.
- Working knowledge of veterinary terminology.
- Excellent spelling and grammar.
- Ability to handle varied and sometimes difficult conditions.
- Ability to display tact and respect with clients and team members.
