Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatric Medical Director to join our team at the Center for Health Care Services. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing medical direction and oversight to our mental health services, ensuring the highest quality of care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Medical Direction: Provide medical direction and oversight to our mental health services, including conducting psychiatric examinations, prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications, and completing associated documentation.
  • Leadership: Lead and manage a team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and other support staff.
  • Quality Improvement: Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination of care and services.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and accreditation standards.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited medical school and completion of a psychiatric residency program.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in psychiatric medicine, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Licensure: Current Texas medical license and DEA registration.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual: Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Board Certification: Board certified in psychiatry.
