Civil Engineer - Infrastructure Design

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in designing and developing civil infrastructure for new and existing substations, renewable energy developers, and other clients.

As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and detailing mat and pier type foundations for substation structures, as well as designing substation structures ranging from simple equipment supports to overhead line towers.

You will work closely with our engineering teams to develop overall conceptual design plans in the initial development phase of new projects, and collaborate with clients to provide support specific to schedules and cost estimates.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing conceptual design plans for new projects
  • Designing foundations using commercially available software such as LPILE
  • Developing steel structure models for rigid bus and equipment supports
  • Maintaining professional relationships with external business partners
  • Presenting information and responding to questions from clients

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
  • Experience in AutoCAD and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation is a plus
  • Great analytical mindset, loves problem solving
  • Great computer skills (MS Office)
  • Great communications and interpersonal skills
