About the Organization:
The South Florida Skin Center is a growing medical facility located in Port Charlotte, FL, dedicated to providing its employees with avenues for advancement, practical experience, and career growth. We specialize in skin cancer prevention and treatment, ensuring our patients receive consistent, compassionate, and personalized care in a welcoming environment.

Job Responsibilities:
Compensation for this role is determined by your education and experience level.
Employees may receive bonuses throughout the year, and paid time off is available after the first year of service.

Your working hours will be from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required. Please note that our office is closed on weekends.

Our team collaborates to accomplish daily tasks, and we require someone who can consistently stay until at least 5:00 PM. If your availability does not align with this schedule, this position may not be suitable for you.

Key Duties Include:

  • Assisting healthcare providers with routine examinations, surgical procedures, and scheduling appointments
  • Collecting and managing biopsy samples
  • Coordinating all surgical, Mohs, and ED&C procedures
  • Cleaning and sterilizing medical instruments
  • Maintaining and stocking examination rooms

Essential Qualifications:

  • Understanding of sterile techniques
  • Knowledge of safe handling and disposal of biomedical waste

This position requires cross-training. All new hires will also learn essential front office procedures, including:

  • Answering phone calls
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Document scanning
