Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Interventional Technologist to join our team at ChristianaCare. As a key member of our VIR team, you will assist physicians during vascular interventional radiology procedures and ensure the safe and efficient care of patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for vascular interventional radiology procedures, including arteriograms, embolization's, and drain insertions.
  • Ensure compliance with departmental policies, radiation safety standards, and joint commission regulations.
  • Operate imaging equipment using established guidelines and imaging protocols.
  • Instruct students and residents, and perform preceptor duties as needed.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on equipment and maintain supply inventory.
  • Assist in departmental Performance Improvement assessments and initiatives.
  • Communicate effectively with the full procedural team to ensure a safe and efficient patient care experience.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of radiologic technology.
  • Interventional radiology procedural lab experience preferred.
  • Current A.R.R.T. registration and RTR licensure with the State of Delaware.
Work Schedule

Out of the month: 3 weeks working in the Newark VIR department, with 10-hour shifts from 7am to 5:30pm. Late shift is 11am to 7:30pm (rotates through all staff but primarily 7am-5:30pm) at the Newark campus. Must rotate to the WILMINGTON VIR department 1 week out of 5.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm. On-call is 1 day a week, and every 5th or 6th weekend. Must be able to get to the facility within 30 minutes for on-call.
