Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Vascular Interventional Technologist to join our team at ChristianaCare. As a key member of our vascular interventional radiology team, you will assist physicians during procedures and ensure the safe and efficient delivery of patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for vascular interventional radiology procedures, including arteriograms, embolization's, and drain insertions.
  • Ensure proper safety standards are met for compliance with departmental policies, radiation safety standards, and joint commission regulations.
  • Operate required imaging equipment using established guidelines and imaging protocols.
  • Instruct students and residents, and perform preceptor duties as needed.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on equipment and assist in maintaining supply inventory.
  • Communicate effectively with the full procedural team to ensure a safe and efficient patient care experience.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved school of radiologic technology.
  • Interventional radiology procedural lab experience preferred.
  • Current A.R.R.T registration.
  • Current RTR licensure with the State of Delaware.
Work Schedule

Our Vascular Interventional Technologist will work a rotating schedule, including 3 weeks in the Newark VIR department, 1 week in the Wilmington VIR department, and 1 day of on-call per week. The on-call shift will be 1 day a week, and every 5th or 6th weekend.
