Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the University of California - Los Angeles (UCLA) in the Department of Pediatrics. The successful candidate will work in the laboratory of Dr. Manish Butte, focusing on understanding and manipulating the immune system to fight infections, autoimmunity, and cancer, with a special emphasis on T cells.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct independent research in the PI's lab, including designing and executing experiments, analyzing data, and interpreting results.
  • Write scientific manuscripts, grants, and abstracts, and present data in regional and national meetings.
  • Participate in laboratory meetings, educational sessions, and specific safety training sessions.
  • Maintain biosafety and other required trainings, and provide mentorship to other members of the lab.
Requirements
  • PhD or MD/PhD, ScD, or DPhil, preferably in the field of immunology.
  • Track record of starting, finishing, and publishing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and adapt to new tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
