We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Permits Clerk to join our team at the Town of Pecos City. As a Permits Clerk, you will be responsible for processing building permit applications, reviewing plans and documents, and issuing permits in accordance with city regulations and building codes.
Key Responsibilities- Permit Processing: Review and process building permit applications, ensuring all necessary plans, forms, and information are included.
- Plan Review: Read and interpret building plans and blueprints to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Permit Issuance: Approve and issue building permits, calculating and collecting fees as necessary.
- Customer Service: Provide information to the public on building permits, zoning, and building regulations.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of permit applications, plans, and issuances.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience in a related field, such as construction or customer service.
- Skills: Basic knowledge of construction blueprints, building codes, and regulations.
- Tools and Equipment: Personal computer, word processor, spreadsheets, and other standard office equipment.
