Job Summary

The City of Lakewood is seeking a part-time, on-call Snowplow Driver to assist in snow and ice control. This position is required to work in a seasonal or temporary capacity, with a variable schedule based on business need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate snowplow equipment, including front-end loaders, tandem and single axle plow trucks with salt spreader.
  • Assist in snow and ice control, including plowing and salting roads and sidewalks.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to City and Department safety rules and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Street Maintenance Superintendent.
Requirements
  • Class B commercial driver's license (state of CO).
  • Experience operating snowplow equipment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing weather conditions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to pass an extensive background check and DOT physical, including a drug test.
