Role Overview:

The HVAC Installation Specialist is responsible for the proficient and complete installation of commercial HVAC systems (5+ tons) and related components. This role involves supervising Install Helpers to ensure adherence to quality standards. The specialist will engage with clients to address inquiries, resolve issues, and guarantee overall satisfaction. Additionally, the role includes promoting products and services to clients while working under the guidance of the Field Supervisor or General Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently install HVAC systems and components with minimal oversight.
  • Execute the installation of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration systems, ensuring compliance with company standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Design and fabricate ductwork and fittings as necessary.
  • Conduct start-up procedures for heating and cooling systems and associated components.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Promote company products and services during customer interactions, relaying sales leads to the Sales and Service Coordinator.
  • Manage the delivery and removal of equipment essential for installation tasks.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and accountability of company property, vehicles, and tools.
  • Complete all necessary documentation accurately and promptly, including payment collection from clients.
  • Represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards in all business dealings.
  • Maintain a clean and organized installation vehicle, reflecting the company's professional image.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures, ensuring vehicle stock is replenished and defective parts are returned as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of all required licenses or certifications as mandated by relevant governmental regulations.
  • Valid EPA and safety certifications.
  • Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems and related accessories.
  • Proven experience in installing commercial HVAC systems without supervision.
  • Familiarity with ductwork layout and installation requirements.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using necessary tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot electrical and refrigerant systems.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and issue resolution.
  • Strong time-management and organizational abilities.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as required.
  • Physical capability to navigate various environments and perform manual tasks, including lifting up to 75 pounds.
