Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Plumbing Designer to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you'll be responsible for providing plumbing system design and layout using AutoCAD and Revit, coordinating with all disciplines, and executing plumbing system design and drawing preparation under the direction of the Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide plumbing system design and layout using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Perform calculations, equipment selection, and other related design tasks under the guidance of the Project Manager and senior technical staff
  • Execute plumbing system design and drawing preparation under the direction of the Project Manager
  • Design various plumbing system types under the guidance of the Project Manager
  • Work with the internal design team, external clients, and consultants, including owners, builders, developers, program managers, contractors, architects, vendors, etc.
  • Manage construction administration and field investigation tasks for assigned projects, including conducting field inspections and subsequent detailed inspection reports
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • AutoCAD and/or Revit experience required
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years of experience, including fire protection or fire sprinkler systems
  • Certified EIT preferred, CPD, LEED AP, or Medical Gas Design Certification a plus
  • Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required
