Civil Design Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Civil Designer to join our team in Springfield, Missouri. As a Civil Designer, you will collaborate with Senior Engineers to develop and execute project plans, participate in the design and layout of civil engineering projects, and conduct calculations and analyze data to ensure accurate and efficient design outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute project plans in collaboration with Senior Engineers.
  • Participate in the design and layout of civil engineering projects.
  • Conduct calculations and analyze data to ensure accurate and efficient design outcomes.
  • Prepare comprehensive construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
  • Estimate quantities and construction costs to support project budgeting and cost control.
  • Provide construction phase services by monitoring project progress and ensuring compliance with design specifications.
  • Conduct reports and studies to assess project feasibility, performance, and compliance.
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of permit applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and efficient project execution.

Requirements:

  • Civil engineering and design experience desired but not required.
  • Desire to learn civil design software such as Civil Storm, HEC-RAS, AutoCAD, etc.
  • Interest in working on municipal, commercial, and subdivision land development design projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines.
