Overview:

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a skilled AutoCAD Civil 3D professional to join our Civil/Site team. As a Civil CAD Designer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality development plans, concepts, and exhibits using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Your attention to detail and ability to follow hand-drafted and/or.PDF redlines will be essential in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our designs.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce finished development plans, concepts, and exhibits using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Follow hand-drafted and/or.PDF redlines and address all comments provided accordingly.
  • Set up and detail plans by analyzing sketches, notes, and other input material to determine the best approach for the completion of drawings.
  • Attend project kick-off meetings and assist in the set up and drafting of project base maps.
  • Produce Civil 3D generated surfaces, profiles, and section drawings per parameters and/or redline markups provided from Engineer and/or Project Manager.
  • Prepare earthwork models and heat maps for volume balancing and identifying areas of cut or fill.
  • Conform to CED and industry standard CAD procedures for layering, etc., and standard drawing procedures for sheet layout.
  • Work with numerous project teams to help in project completion.
  • Coordinate details and dimensions between drawing sheets.
  • Prepare CAD files for authorized media release to external parties/agencies.
  • Prepare conceptual layout plans per client request and information.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent; Associates Degree or a Certificate from a technical school, preferably in AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Demonstrate general computer skills, knowledge, and acumen (i.e., Microsoft Office).
  • 3-5+ years of related experience.
  • Experience in site/civil, land development, and/or municipal engineering drafting preferred.
