Job Summary:

The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing kitchen operations and running the shift of an assigned kitchen staff. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to manage food costs, labor costs, and kitchen supplies.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle and train kitchen staff to clean equipment carefully and safely.
Monitor weekly business data to prepare weekly work schedules.
Supervise kitchen operations to maximize profitability and minimize legal liability.
Consistently monitor COGS through daily inventory control.
Assist with hiring, training, and scheduling of BOH personnel.
Investigate and resolve food quality issues.
Enforce sanitary practices for food handling and general cleanliness.
Maintain par-stock of food products.
Comply with all health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

2 years of management experience in a full-service, high-volume restaurant.
Solid track record of success in previous assignments demonstrating upward career tracking.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Culinary school background a plus.
