Job Summary

St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality laboratory testing and services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform waived, moderate, and highly complex laboratory tests according to established protocols.
  • Operate laboratory instrumentation to perform laboratory tests and recognize instrument malfunctions.
  • Perform routine tests in other laboratory sections as assigned and phlebotomy duties as needed.
  • Monitor inventory of supplies and report low volumes to Technical Coordinator/Lead Technologist.
  • Accurately transcribe test results or enter results into the laboratory information system.
  • Follow established policies regarding proper documentation of critical values, reagent lot numbers, and other quality assurance data.
  • Recognize and notify supervisors and/or Technical Coordinators/Lead Technologists of technical problems.
  • Attend continuing education or training sessions to meet minimum standards of accrediting agencies.
Requirements
  • MLT (ASCP) or equivalent certification.
  • Successful completion of an accredited MLT program or equivalent work experience.
