We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Department Technician to join our team at St. Luke's Hospital. As a key member of our patient care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to patients and families in our Emergency Department.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to medical emergencies and transport patients to the ED
- Set up and assist with operating specialty equipment
- Perform clinical procedures within scope of practice
- Collect and send specimens, perform EKGs, glucometry, and phlebotomy
- Perform quality control checks and maintain patient records
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and patients
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CPR certification and medical terminology knowledge
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to lift, carry, and push objects up to 75 pounds
- Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per day and walk for up to 12 hours per day
