POSITION OVERVIEW
The **Polysomnographic Technologist** plays a crucial role in the preparation, administration, and collection of data integral to both research and clinical functions. This position involves the maintenance and operation of polysomnographic equipment, computers, and various physiological monitoring devices. Key responsibilities encompass evaluating clinical and research charts, conducting psychometric assessments, compiling data, entering participant information into databases, and preparing necessary materials for research participants. Additionally, this role includes direct interaction with subjects for vital sign and ECG evaluations, ensuring adherence to protocols, and maintaining the integrity of source documents. All tasks are performed in accordance with Good Clinical Practices (GCPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and regulatory standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assess clinical and research documentation
  • Conduct psychometric evaluations
  • Compile data from screening tools
  • Input participant information into databases
  • Prepare materials for research participants
  • Assist during research participant visits
  • Perform vital sign and ECG evaluations
  • Ensure compliance with protocols and document integrity
  • Prepare for laboratory visits in accordance with study protocols
  • Adhere to GCPs, SOPs, and regulatory standards
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
Compensation may vary based on qualifications, experience, and location.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • New York State Polysomnographic Technologist license and RPSGT credential
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a sleep disorder center or laboratory
  • BCLS certification required
  • Maintain active licensure and certification
  • Strong technical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide precise documentation
