Patient Care Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:- Greet patients as they arrive and manage wait times effectively.
- Complete check-in and check-out tasks, including insurance verification, pre-authorizations, and document copying.
- Collect co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles, and issue receipts.
- Manage the cashier box and daily deposits according to company policies.
- Process walk-in patients and visitors, and answer phones to schedule appointments.
- Handle cash and count money at high volumes, including mathematical computations.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the public.

- High School Diploma/GED (or higher).
- 1+ years of customer service experience with strong communication skills.
- Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to travel 10% of the time for coverage at other clinics if needed.
- 1+ years of experience with electronic health records.
- 1+ years of related healthcare experience, including scheduling experience.
- 1+ years of experience handling and triaging of telephone calls and a multi-system phone line.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to work independently and as a team, and maintain good judgment and accountability.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with health care providers.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet all deadlines.
