As a key member of our Interventional Radiology department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, advancing medical knowledge, and training the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Job Summary:

The Associate Professor of Clinical will be responsible for providing medical care to a diverse range of patients, utilizing minimally invasive image-guided diagnosis and treatment of disease. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement new and innovative interventional procedures, evaluate patients pre- and post-intervention, and contribute to the expansion of outpatient clinics for interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret interventional radiology imaging studies and perform interventional procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of new and innovative interventional procedures.
  • Evaluate and consult new referrals and follow up patients in IR clinic.
  • Supervise performance of technical personnel.
  • Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of interventional imaging.
  • Provide interventional imaging consultation as requested.
  • Provide emergency patient care as required in the setting of an Interventional radiology practice.
  • Be part of the on-call schedule in Interventional Radiology.
  • Assume administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Chairman related to the practice of interventional imaging.
  • Participate in teaching activities related to interventional radiology as required in residency/fellowship training programs, medical student education program, technological radiology educational programs, and continuing medical education programs.
  • Serve on Departmental, University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Medical Center committees and provide service to the same in other manners as requested.
  • Participate in research activities as an investigator and mentor.
Requirements:
  • Medical Degree from an accredited Medical School (or foreign equivalent).
  • Florida Medical License or equivalent.
  • American Board of Radiology Certification.
  • Completion of an ACGME approved Fellowship Program in Vascular Interventional.
