About the Job

This 18-month contract-to-hire position offers a unique chance to work on-site at a leading company in Santa Clara, California. As a Semiconductor Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for supporting existing tools, ensuring professional interaction with internal and external customers, and reporting all activity on tools in the required database.

Responsibilities
  • Support existing tools and equipment
  • Ensure seamless communication with customers and suppliers
  • Maintain accurate records of tool activity and database entries
  • Contact suppliers for scheduled equipment support
  • Perform daily walk-throughs of assigned buildings/equipment
  • Notify suppliers of upcoming preventive maintenance
  • Run SPC wafers on assigned equipment and record results
  • Notify and schedule equipment repairs and PM using the database provided
  • Support equipment sustaining activities and provide technical assistance
  • Undergo cross-training for technical and minor modifications in tool list
  • Update database daily for equipment status and repair
  • Document customer management programs by maintaining equipment and SPC runs in the database
  • Organize supplier manuals and documentation in soft copy format
  • Maintain manuals and documentation in alphabetical order
  • Mentor junior-level equipment technicians
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by customer management
Requirements
  • Hardware Technician Experience
  • Associate's Degree in Manufacturing Electrical, Mechanical, or related field
  • 0-2 years of industry experience
  • Minimal experience on Semiconductor process and analytical equipment
  • Solid computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Power Point, and Word
