About Marvell Semiconductor, Inc.

We design the building blocks of data infrastructure that connects our world. Our innovative technology is enabling new possibilities across enterprise, cloud and AI, automotive, and carrier architectures.

At Marvell, you can make a meaningful impact on individual lives, industries, and tomorrow's transformative potential. For those looking to drive purposeful and enduring innovation beyond fleeting trends, Marvell offers a place to thrive, learn, and lead.

Your Role, Your Impact

The Optical PHY team creates high-speed transceivers for communication infrastructure in long-haul, metro, and datacenter settings. We address bandwidth, capacity, and power issues faced by cloud computing and mega data centers powering social media platforms. Our approaches have resulted in first-to-market products in key areas, developing advanced chips and subsystems to meet increasing demand for higher data rates driven by video-on-demand, gaming, and real-time data streams.

What You'll Do

As an Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer, you will be part of designing sophisticated CMOS transceiver/SERDES products. Responsibilities include implementing and verifying circuits like PLLs, DLLs, ADCs, regulators, amplifiers, TX, RX, CDRs, and more, meeting key performance targets and using industry-standard tools like Spectre and MATLAB.

What We're Looking For

  1. Hands-on experience with mixed-signal circuit design, including ADCs, DACs, RX, TX, PLLs, filters, bandgap bias circuits, regulators, and analog circuits.
  2. Specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in semiconductor technologies.
  3. Ability to apply innovative solutions to complex issues.
  4. History of identifying and developing best practices delivering high-quality and effective solutions.
  5. Strong knowledge of deep sub-micron CMOS technologies.
  6. Experience with low-power and high-speed design techniques.
  7. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  8. Knowledge of IC design CAD tools such as Spectre, Spice, Matlab, Hsim, Verilog, etc.
  9. Lab testing skills to evaluate prototype units against design specifications.
  10. A BS/MS/PhD degree in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of relevant professional experience.

Compensation Package

We offer a total compensation package including a base salary, bonus, and equity. Our benefits include flexible time off, 401k, paid time off to volunteer, health insurance, and a year-end shutdown. This role is eligible for our hybrid work model, allowing split time between working from home and on-site in a Marvell office.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or protected veteran status.
